  6.     In March, John Kingery, an 82-year-old victim of Alzheimer's
  7. disease, was found abandoned in his wheelchair at an Idaho
  8. dog-racing track. Last week his daughter Sue Gifford, 40, was
  9. charged with kidnapping him from his Oregon nursing home and
  10. dumping him in Idaho. Kingery's case drew national attention to
  11. the phenomenon of "grandpa dumping": stressed-out adult children
  12. abandoning their ailing parents. Kingery is now in Kentucky
  13. being taken care of by relatives.
